FAMOUS FEDERATION PAINTING On 9th May 1901 Australias First Parliament sat, and was addressed by His Royal Highness the Duke of Cornwell and York. A magnificent painting of this event was commissioned. A copy of this is at the Athenaeum in Chiltern.
FAMOUS FEDERATION TREES In 1901 two symbolic Federation Trees were planted, both lemon scented ghost gums, one at Tarrawingee Station, the other at Everton Station. Both are worth a drive to see.
