Freeman on Ford Bed and Breakfast is Beechworth's newest and finest bed and breakfast accommodation facility. It is located in the heart of Beechworth, virtually opposite the Post Office, and just a few steps down from the Information Centre. Freeman on Ford has been awarded Green Star Accreditation for its environmentally sympathetic policies by AAA Tourism.

Freeman on Ford Bed and Breakfast is located in the famous Beechworth Historical Precinct, with the front bedrooms overlooking the magnificent sandy coloured granite Court House and Telegraph Office. Behind the guesthouse is the equally famous Burke Museum, a memorial to Robert O'Hara Burke of Burke and Wills fame.

 

Stepping inside this living piece of history, you are transformed back to the luxurious times of the very prosperous and affluent Beechworth society of the late 1800's and early 1900's. Beechworth's finest bed and breakfast combines the luxuries of that time with the necessities of today, and yet retains the absolute class and comfort the aristocracy of the past expected.

 

The bedrooms are luxuriously furnished, with queen sized antique beds and fittings, a fire place with a gas lit flame, and a magnificently crafted wooden cabinet, which when opened reveals the colour television and a complete set of a beautiful painted china tea and coffee ensemble. Three of the bedrooms have period designed ensuites, with French doors and tessellated tiles and period fittings. The fourth bedroom has its own bathroom with spa.

 

 

Downstairs the guests may use the dining room, shown above, the lounge room with a large television, video recorder and a compact disk player, the kitchen and the huge back yard and its picnic settings.
