    Stories of a lucky golden mouse have spread far and wide throughout N.S.W. People who are environmentally aware have told of good fortune after seeing a tiny golden mouse.

Some of these stories are told by prosperous sheep farmers who had been directed to settle in particular areas after attempting to educate others on the importance of co-existing with nature.

  Other stories have surfaced of responsible fishermen being redirected to another location or to use their boats to show people the wonders of the sea. These people claimed that they prospered and gave credit to a tiny golden mouse.

   The Golden Mouseâ became a symbol of good luck and children were given a homemade one to promote a happy life. People gave one to others in wishing them well in their endeavors.

  Today we still give a Golden Mouse to those to whom we wish good fortune, but now we know there is a little golden mouse in many of the forest areas of Australia that is rarely seen. Does this mouse have special powers or is it another mouse, with magical powers that may have been seen throughout the ages across Australia?
