Although it hasn't made it onto the Hash Events Summary, this years Rutherglen Winery Bike Hash is on Sat 22 Nov, if anybody's interested.

The Pack gathered outside Rat's place awaiting the On and it was pleasing to see the return of TuckerBox after a bout of Flu/Cold/Wog. Rat could be seen manipulating a collection of straws of different lengths. Eventually, Rat was to explain that this was to be a live hare run with the Hasher who drew the shortest straw to act as a live hare for a while. If the live Hare was heading in the direction that Rat wanted the Hare to Go, the Hare would be a live Hare for a long time, but if the Hare was heading in the wrong direction, Rat would blow his horn and tell the assembled pack were to head for. Sounds easy enough.

Gunna drew the first short straw, so, after doing three laps of the Gunnamobile, he had the pack continue along Melbourne Rd, so he and Kunoath could check out the campervans at the local car yard. Then Rat blew his horn and told the pack to head for Les Stone Park.

When the pack had assembled at Les Stone Park and Sting and Onca had headed off home to take the drinks to the drink stop, a new drawing of straws saw TuckerBox become the new live hare, and a short trip along the path and into Cypress Crt had Rat blowing his horn again and the pack headed to the Water Tower. The new Hare, Kunoath, then had the pack heading along Hovell St for a short time, before Rat did his thing and the pack headed for the Laundromat on Beechworth Rd.

At this stop, Rat decided to cut his losses (he had several more sections in mind, but time was definitely getting on) and told the pack that the next Hash Halt was at the Archway at the entrance to the Wodonga Race Course and that this was the drink stop. When the pack arrived and partook of the drink stop, most of the hashers piled into Stings wagon for the trip home, leaving Rat and Kunoath to enjoy a good run On Home.

Nosh was Chicken Tonight and salad. Down Downs to Rat for the run.
