Last Weeks Trail

Bandit, having returned from his trip to Melbourne and Geelong, was pleased to see that Sting and daughter Vanessa had returned to Hash. Apparently, son Rat had also made a return last week. Anyway, at the appointed time, or, to be honest, at sometime after the appointed time, Kunoath called the packs attention and pointed to the race start point, and it was one for young and old.

Bandit went one way, Sting and Vanessa went another whilst Gunna went a third, and it was he that eventually found himself on trail, heading through the parklands down toward the Murray River. An impromptu Hash Halt was called along side a swimming tree, and, about 200 meters further, there was a real, marked, Hash Halt alongside the river. Trail then continued alongside the river, over the garbage trap on a side creek then past the Swimming Pool and up alongside the Albury Football Stadium, before turning back on itself and heading between the Footbal Stadium and the swimming pool. Then it was over Smollett St, back over the side creek and through the gardens alongside the creek, heading for a Hash Halt in Dean St, alongside the Botanic Gardens.

From the Hash Halt, trail continued over the side creek to the lights at Dean Street and Wodonga Place, then it went over the side creek, for the fourth and final time, and then the trail headed Up, ever Up, Monument Hill. At the road junction, about half way up, the girls, Just Jeans, Sting and Vanessa, thought better than heading any further up, so started walking around the hill, but the rest of us kept heading Up, Up, Up the stairs to the monument and it was there that we found the "On Home", so we did, meeting up with the girls just before we got On Home.

Nosh was assorted salad type vegies thrown into a bowl, so they could be stuck in Pita breads and eaten.

Whilst the pack enjoyed Nosh, discussion turned to whether AWH3 would again run The State to State Fun Run in 2003 and the vote was one all before Gunna said he would ring all the Hash Committee members to get a better sence of the feeling of the Hash on this subject.

Christmas Do - Date T. B. A.
If anyone knows of a place that is
- B.Y.O.
- Serves food
- In Wodonga first preference, Albury second
- Not overpriced
- Has some atmosphere (music maybe)

we would like to hear from them

(there has been one suggestion made, Albury Police Cells, but, apparently, the Nosh is not that great and the booze is non-existant!
