Last Weeks Trail

A growing pack gathered at Krunch-a's new dig's, the pack being augmented by Abba's family, wife "Mother Teresa" and son "???", along with Krunch-a's parents (just here to have a look). At the appropiate time, Krunch-a got up and issued the usual Hash instructions (no hills, no creeks, that type of thing) and, as the rain had, once again, rained out the trail, the run was to be an improvised "Pub Crawl" with the first Hash Halt to be at "The Biralee". It was on out the gate , down the street and, umm, err, well, along Campbell to Angus, then to Melrose Drive, to the Pub opposite Brockley St.

The front runners waited for the slow pokes, i.e. Gunna joined this time by Mother Teresa, so that Krunch-a could tell the pack that the next Hash Halt was to be at "Edwards Tavern", but there was to be a "Wimp"'s (the shortest possible route) and a "Rambo"'s (via the Wodonga Golf Club and Moorefield park Drive).

The Wimps, Bandit, John Doe, Gunna and Mother Teresa, went via Melrose and Lawrence onto Mayfair Drive. Just outside the shops on Mayfair, Bandit and John Doe picked up another follower, a good looking, young, black dog with no labels and no matter what Bandit and John Doe did, they could not convince the pup to go home, that is unless it was to go to Krunch-a's home. Shortly after arriving at "Edwards Tavern", with pup in tow, Bandit and John Doe where joined by Gunna and Mother Teresa (who actually went inside for a drink). Eventually, Bobcat made it to the Hash Halt, to tell the others that the "Rambo"'s had been short cut because it was too long, so it was "On Home".

"On Home" led to a bit of a discussion as to which way would be the shortest way home. Eventually it was decided, with the black pup in tow, to go down Trafalgar St and Footmark St, past the "Wood's Nursery", over the vacant blocks to Aberdeen Drive, then flip a coin, left to Campbell Ave, and, left again, on home.

Nosh was Hamburgers. Down Downs to Krunch-a (for the run), Mother Teresa, the son, and Kruncha parents (for being first timers) and Bandit (for some reason or other).

No animals were hurt in the conduction of the run. Before Krunch-A could take the pup to the vet's, it had left, but only after shreding the neighbours morning paper all over Krunck-a's front door mat.
