Bolstered by those that had turned up for the after run meeting, the pack was so big I could not count it on my hand, which was a pleasent change. At the appointed time, Bobcat, the Hare, said that trail was laid in Chalk, Lime and Toilet paper, that it was on the right except when it was on the left and that there were no hills except for those that we could see (sort of reminded me of what Clouseau would say at the start of one of his trails).
With that it was "On Out" to the two way check at the front "gate". AI went towards Lawerence St and Bandit went the other way, with Bandit eventually being found to have gone the right way into Belgrade St but was then found to have lost his way when he headed up London St toward Chappel St. Trail was found to head the other way along Belgrade St before cutting through the park alongside the kindergarden to a Hash Halt on Chapple St. From here, trail was found to head up Huons Hill Rd before heading cross country to another Hash Halt at the end of the bitumen on de Kerilleau Drive. After a false trail that sucked in the whole pack, it was "On On" down de Kerilleau Drive to an "On Home" then On Home.
Nosh was Hamburgers and snags
After the seating arrangements were sorted out, our GM, AI, got everybodies attention and started the discussion on the holding of the upcoming "State to State Fun Run". The discussion was vibrant and seemed to center on getting more "hasher"-type people running hash (and getting rid of the non-hasher-type people), so that there would be ample staff for the conducting of the run. Bandit is to check with the Festival of Sport to determine a suitable date for its running and get back to the pack next Week with possibilities. As well as tring to get past Hashers back to the pack, each hasher is to attempt to get a newbie into Hash by the 4th Nov, when a further meeting will make a final decission on whether or not we hold the run.
When Bobcat started making moves about going home, even though this was his home, the pack took the hint and went thier own ways.
