The pack, this week settling back to the usuals, gathered around Mr Ed's kitchen table before setting off on the trail. Obviously, Mr Ed had been busy at work, as trail had been set, on paper, from one local park to another.
First park on the list was the Roteract Pack on the corner of Urana Rd and Pearsall St. From there it was on to the Footy oval almost opposite Mr Ed's place on Urana Rd, where Kunoath could have blended right in as the local Footy Team were out training, wearing Collingwood "Magpie" jumpers, just as Kunoath was. From here, the trail apparently went to a park in Parnell St but Bandit had become seperated from the pack at the Footy Park, went looking for a park in Prune St, but, not finding one, was heading for Urana road via Breen St when he heard Gunna's familiar tones calling "On On" as he and Kunoath approached the junction of Parnell St and Breen St.
From here, it was over Urana Rd, apparently, but the pack had lost interest, and headed back "On Home" to rejoin the Hare.
Nosh was Chow Mein, and it must have been pretty good as all hopped in for seconds, then it was "on out" and "on home" untill next week.
Bad News
When I got home, I received a call from Boner of Western Suburbs Hash, to let me know of the bad news of Stewart "Ankles" Banks, the GM of Geelong H3, passing away during Geelong H3's run on Monday. Apparently, 'Ankles and 'After Five' were starting off after a check and were about two minutes into the run when 'Ankles' just collapsed. After Five could not revive him. Funeral will be Monday Afternoon.
City to Surf
Its that time of year, almost. Anybody looking to make it to Sydney for the Fleet Hash and City to Surf, let me know if you want accomidation booked at the YHA and also if you need transport.
Also, if the weather is fine and I'm feeling motivated enough, I intend to cover the distance (notice I did not actually mention running) from my place to the top of Huons Hills and return (a distance of almost 14km) each weekend. If anybody is interested in keeping me company, let me know.
